IC-DC2-VPX3a is a 3U VPX, OpenVPX board based on a Intel Core2 Duo processor. It is a high-performance board for embedded applications.

IC-DC2-VPX3a is based on the Intel® Core™2 Duo processor SL9380 (or SU930) associated to the Intel® 3100 Chipset.

Designed for applications requiring a very high level of performance in a compact 3U form factor, the IC-DC2-VPX3a board provides a flexible combination of interfaces, supporting VPX’s high bandwith serial switched fabrics (PCI Express VITA 46.4).

The IC-DC2-VPX3a board is built in the Intel® Product Technologies for Embedded and Communications Applications to enhance performance, flexibility,  reliability and security of demanding multi-tasking applications.

IC VPX products are OpenVPX compliant. The IC-DC2-VPX3a is compliant with the following OpenVPX Module profiles (VITA 65) :

Software
Boot Loader :
Interface Concept Single Board Computers based on Intel CPUs use the new UEFI firrmware technology.
This Boot Loader, developed and tested by our R&D team, implements all the initializations and optimized PBITs while
ensuring the shortest boot time before launching the UEFI shell or loading the Operating System from storage devices
(CD, DVD, HDD, USB…) or network.
When the final application is running, Runtime services remain in memory allowing thus the user to access UEFI variables
for monitoring (e.g. PBIT results) or setup operations.
On request, we can even customize the Boot Loader to keep only what is strictly necessary for customer’s applications.
OS support :
Interface Concept provides LSP Linux® distributions (IC SDK, CentOS). For others distributions, VxWorks® and Windows, please consult us.
