ComEth 4582a - 3U OpenVPX 10/40 Gigabit Ethernet Switch

The ComEth4582a implements a new generation of multi-layer Ethernet matrix for high speed embedded interconnect applications requiring low-power 10Gb and 40G connectivity.

IC’s Switchware management application provides IPv6 support, RIPng, OSPF v3, VRRP, security features, configurable memory allocation, new status counters….

Fully compatible with the existing ComEth43xx Switchware, the ComEth4582a is the ideal platform combining enhanced features and flexibility.

Ethernet interfaces :

  • 30 Serdes on the rear panel P1/P2) available as :

    • 30 ports, individually con? gurable in 10GBase-KR or 1000Base-KX modes.Moreover, each group of 4 serdes can be merged to support 40GBase-KR4 or 10GBase-KX4 modes.
    • 2 Serdes on the front panel, linked to 2*SFP+ cages to support ? ber or copper Giga/10Giga modules.

Miscellaneous :

  • 1 * RS232 port, front mini-USB or on P1 connector
  • Status Led indicators (front)

  • µ-controller for System Management (per VITA 46.11)

The ComEth4582a is compliant with VITA 46.0 standard.
It is available in air-cooled (1”) and conduction-cooled (0.8”) versions.
